Dia 1: Athens / Corinth / Epidaurus / Mycenae / Olympia (Half board)
Breakfast. Meeting at the designated point in the city center to begin the classic tour. We will leave in the direction of the Corinth Canal, a magnificent work of engineering. Stop to take in the views. Continue to Epidaurus, and visit its theater of perfect acoustics, with a natural backdrop of incomparable beauty. Part of the Sanctuary is dedicated to Asclepius, god of medicine. Passing to the outskirts of the city of Nafplion, we arrive in Mycenae where we can visit the famous Homeric city, and we will visit the ruins of the capital of the kingdom of Agamemnon, with the Lions' Gate and the royal tombs. In the afternoon, crossing the central Peloponnese we will arrive in Olympia. Dinner and overnight in Olympia.
Dia 2: Olympia / Delphi (Half board)
Breakfast. We will visit the facilities of the ancient Olympic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held. Afterwards, we will visit the impressive Archaeological Museum of Olympia, which houses key masterpieces in the history of art. In the afternoon, departure for the magnificent bridge spanning the Gulf of Corinth. Arrival in Delphi. Dinner and overnight stay.
Dia 3: Delphi / Meteora Area (Half board)
Breakfast. We will visit the archaeological site of Delphi, whose Sanctuary of Apollo, at the foot of Mount Parnassus, was one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in antiquity. In the local museum, we will see its famous statue, the “Bronze Charioteer.” Departure for Kalambaka, in central Greece, passing through Thermopylae, where the statue of the Spartan King Leonidas stands. The landscape will delight you with its fields dotted with charming villages. Dinner and overnight stay.
Dia 4: Meteora Area / Athens
Breakfast. We will begin with a visit to Meteora, a kind of stone forest and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with towering limestone rock formations topped by several monasteries founded between the 10th and 12th centuries. The monastic communities remain active and continue to inhabit these once-inaccessible retreats. Afterwards, departure for Athens, where we will arrive in the afternoon.
