TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
Sinharaja Rainforest: Trek amongst the UNESCO World Heritage protected sites and search for the colourful birdlife that calls this rainforest home, along with an impressive array of endemic flora and fauna.
Kitugala: Paddle the strong currents of the Kelani River and trek through the boulders to discover the mystery of the deep green waters.
Day 1: ARRIVAL COLOMBO
Arrive at Colombo International Airport where our representative will meet and greet you. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Overnight in Colombo.
Day 2: COLOMBO – MATHUGAMA – KALAWANA – SINHARAJA (125km – 3 hrs)
Depart early, with a packed breakfast, driving to Weddagala and passing through the verdant areas of Mathugama and Kalawana. Arrive in Sinharaja, check in and indulge in a luscious lunch at the hotel. Rest for a few hours and then embark on a trek amongst the wilderness of the UNESCO World Heritage protected site, the Sinharaja Rainforest. Return to the hotel and rest while enjoying a tasty dinner.
Overnight in Sinharaja.
Day 3: SINHARAJA – RATNAPURA – AVISSAWELLA – KITULGALA – COLOMBO (200km – 6 hrs)
After an early breakfast, adventure into the thrilling waters of Kitulgala via Ratnapura. Enjoy a delectable lunch in a welcoming restaurant in Kitulgala. After lunch, feed your wild soul with an unforgettable rafting adventure! Paddle the strong currents of the Kelani River and trek through the boulders to discover the mystery of the deep green waters. After the activities, head back to Colombo via Avissawella. Check-in at your hotel in Colombo and enjoy a delicious dinner.
Overnight in Colombo.
Day 4: DEPART COLOMBO
After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Colombo and continue your journey independently.
Comfortable and light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Sri Lanka. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Shoes should be removed before entering a temple or private house. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay. Clients arriving on early morning flights will have to wait until the last tour participant has arrived.
